Alicia Silverstone<\/span><\/strong> starred in the 1995 film Clueless<\/span><\/strong> and recently reflected on her late mother\u2019s cameo in the film. It is a coming-of-age comedy directed by Amy Heckerling. On November 12, Silverstone attended a screening of Clueless in New York, celebrating its 30th anniversary. During a Q&A session post-screening, Silverstone reportedly got emotional as she revisited her mother\u2019s role.<\/p>\n The Jacob Burns Film Center in Pleasantville, New York, held a 30th anniversary screening for the 1995 teen comedy Clueless. Alicia Silverstone, who played Cher in the film, attended the screening and participated in a Q&A session later. During the session, Silverstone recounted her late mother\u2019s cameo in the film.<\/p>\n As per PEOPLE<\/a>, Silverstone explained her mother\u2019s appearance in the film, saying, \u201cThere\u2019s a wedding scene \u2014 my mom is in the back and she died, this night, six years ago.\u201d The actress mentioned that it was also her mother\u2019s 6th death anniversary that night, making it extra special for her. \u201cSo it\u2019s really lovely to have, because I love her and miss her, and so it was very moving to see that moment and go like, \u2018Oh my god, there\u2019s my mommy,\u2019 and tonight\u2019s the night,\u201d she added. Silverstone continued to share how her mother would be very happy to know the screening was happening, especially on such a special night.<\/p>\n Clueless is a modern adaptation of Jane Austen\u2019s Emma, following the teenage life of Cher Horowitz in the role of Emma Woodhouse. In 1996 a Clueless TV series came out on ABC, running for 3 seasons, with Rachel Blanchard playing the lead role of Cher.<\/p>\n In April this year, there were reports of a Clueless reboot, with Silverstone reprising her role as Cher in a TV series for Peacock.
