Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh<\/a> will be awarded an honorary Golden Bear at the 2026 Berlin Film Festival.<\/p>\n

The \u201cCrazy Rich Asians<\/a>\u201d and \u201cWicked<\/a>\u201d star will be lauded at the fest\u2019s opening ceremony on Feb. 12 for her contributions to cinema. Yeoh served on the Berlinale international jury in 1999 and has presented several films there, including \u201cCrouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon<\/a>\u201d (2000) and \u201cEverything Everywhere All at Once<\/a>\u201d (2022), which won her the Academy Award for best actress.<\/p>\n

\u201cBerlin has always held a special place in my heart,\u201d Yeoh said in a statement. \u201cIt was one of the first festivals to embrace my work with such warmth and generosity. Returning after all these years, in recognition of my journey in cinema, feels truly meaningful.\u201d<\/p>\n
