King Charles<\/a> is \u201cdetermined\u201d to look after his two nieces<\/a>, Princess Beatrice<\/a> and Princess Eugenie<\/a>, as they go through a \u201chideous time\u201d following their father, Andrew-Mountbatten Windsor<\/a>\u2019s, fall from grace, an expert has claimed. The two princesses were both seen attending various events this week for the first time since their disgraced father saw his titles and honours removed<\/a> by his own brother, as he got dragged further into the scandal with convicted paedophile, Jeffrey Epstein.<\/p>\n

He was also forced to leave his Royal Lodge home and will shortly be moving into one of the houses in the Sandringham estate. But the King is understood to have made a conscious effort to protect his nieces, who still retain their royal titles and are bracing for a more active role within the Firm.<\/p>\n

Royal commentator Ingrid Seward told The Sun<\/a>: \u201cWhat it means to my mind is that the King is determined to embrace his nieces, both Beatrice and Eugenie and bring them into the royal fold in a way where they don\u2019t feel they\u2019re just being gratuitously pulled in, but they\u2019re actually doing something for it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cEugenie\u2019s very knowledgeable about art. She works for, and has done for many years now, worked for a very important international gallery, Hauser & Wirth.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that Charles feels quite responsible for these two girls, because it\u2019s been a hideous time for them. Really hideous.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added: \u201cThey\u2019ve both got young children, and I know they\u2019ve got supportive husbands, but they\u2019ve both got young children, and I think it\u2019s been very, very difficult.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the very kind side of the king, to embrace them and give them something that they can actually do, so they don\u2019t feel that they\u2019re just they\u2019re lucky if they go there for Christmas lunch, sort of thing.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re actually part of the Royal Family, and they can do their bit, which I think is important to them.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWe always have to remember with King Charles that he\u2019s a man of great faith.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s great that he\u2019s kind of embraced these two girls and their families and said, \u2018don\u2019t worry we are looking after you\u2019.\u201d

It comes as Princess Beatrice<\/a> was named Deputy Patron of The Outward Bound Trust, six years after her father stepped down as its Royal Patron.<\/p>\n

Prince Edward replaced him as the charity\u2019s new Patron and the appointments were announced last week during a poignant event for the charity\u2019s supporters at St James\u2019s Palace in London.<\/p>\n

The charity said that it\u2019s \u201cdelighted\u201d with the new announcement, adding that they have \u201csignalled the start of a new chapter in its mission to support a more adventurous generation, helping young people say yes to challenge and discover what they\u2019re truly capable of.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
