A resurfaced excerpt from Tom Bower<\/strong>\u2019s 2022 book, Revenge: Meghan, Harry, and the War Between the Windsors<\/em>, reveals how King Charles III<\/strong><\/a> and Queen Camilla<\/strong><\/a> really felt about Meghan Markle<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Charles, 77, felt \u201cbewilderment\u201d toward Meghan, 44, when she and Prince Harry<\/strong> took a trip to the Castle of Mey in Scotland in 2018 with the rest of the royal family.<\/p>\n

Charles \u201cnever really understood her or what she wanted,\u201d Bower alleged in his book. Camilla, meanwhile, was always \u201capprehensive about Harry\u2019s future,\u201d the book claimed.<\/p>\n

Bower noted that Camilla, 78, has \u201cnothing in common\u201d with Meghan and allegedly questioned the former Suits<\/em><\/a> star\u2019s \u201ccoquettish smiles and tactile performance.\u201d Camilla allegedly didn\u2019t think that Meghan would \u201csacrifice her independence to serve silently as a team-player.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tJoining the royals. Amid Meghan Markle and Prince Harry\u2019s early courtship, she impressed his regal family members \u2014 including his father, King Charles III. The Duke of Sussex introduced his father \u2014 who succeeded Queen Elizabeth II as monarch in September 2022 \u2014 to the\u00a0Suits\u00a0alum in November 2016 after nearly five months together. \u201cI\u2019d call [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Elsewhere in Bower\u2019s book, he claimed that Charles \u201cberated\u201d Harry and Meghan over her father Thomas Markle<\/strong>\u2019 public appearances at the time. Charles allegedly told his son and daughter-in-law to \u201cmake this stop,\u201d referring to Thomas\u2019 various interviews<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> has reached out to Team Sussex and Buckingham Palace for comment.<\/p>\n

Harry previously discussed Meghan\u2019s relationship with the royal family in his 2023 memoir, Spare<\/em><\/a>. The Duke of Sussex wrote that Meghan and Charles were \u201calways strong,\u201d but things got \u201cstronger during that weekend\u201d at the Castle of Mey.<\/p>\n

Harry noted that he and Meghan \u201ctalked a bit\u201d with his father \u201cabout the stress we\u2019d been under,\u201d but there were \u201cgood vibes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harry and Meghan have been at odds with the royal family since stepping back as senior members in 2020 and relocating to America.<\/p>\n

This year, however, has marked a turning point for Harry and his father. The two had a closed-door meeting in September<\/a>, which opened the previously severed line of communication between them.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe meeting was sparked by a handwritten letter from Harry earlier this year to Charles expressing his desire to reconnect,\u201d a source told Us Weekly<\/em> exclusively at the time. (Harry and Charles\u2019 meeting was the first time the father-son duo had seen each other in nearly two years<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were catching up personally about the children and what has been going on with Charles and his health,\u201d the same insider shared. \u201cThere were hugs and tears at the meeting.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harry shares two children, Prince Archie<\/strong> and Princess Lilibet<\/strong>, with Meghan. Charles has been suffering with an undisclosed type of cancer since February 2024.<\/p>\n
