Miles Teller<\/a> is saying the quiet part out loud.<\/p>\n The “Top Gun Maverick” actor, 38, opened up about the lack of critical \u2013 and box office \u2013 success received by his 2015 film “Fantastic Four.”<\/a> In an appearance on SiriusXM’s “Radio Andy,”<\/a> Teller told host Andy Cohen that he and other stars knew the film wasn’t good during the press tour.<\/p>\n “When you were on the press tour for\u00a0‘Fantastic Four,’ is it safe to surmise that y’all knew that the movie was not great?” Cohen asked. In response, Teller nodded and laughed.<\/p>\n “You saw the movie, right? Your eyes were working during that time?” he said in a Southern drawl, joking that when he adopts that tone, he can say things “a little more cutting.”<\/p>\n Jamie Bell, Miles Teller, Kate Mara, and Michael B. Jordan and Kate Mara.<\/p>\n “The casting, I thought, was spectacular. I love all those actors,” he added, “But yeah, when I first saw the movie, I remember talking to one of the studio heads and I was like ‘I think we’re in trouble.'”<\/p>\n The movie,<\/a> which was widely viewed as a misstep<\/a>, received poor reviews from critics and has a 9% on Rotten Tomatoes.<\/a> The film<\/a> was also mired in controversy after, ahead of its release, director Josh Trank wrote in a since-deleted social media post that he had created a better cut, but that was not the version hitting theaters.<\/p>\n “A year ago, I had a fantastic version of this,” he\u00a0Tank wrote at the time. “And it would’ve received great reviews. You’ll probably never see it.
