Back in 2024, Poison drummer (and Mechanicsburg native) Rikki Rockett said<\/a> that the band was planning to reunite and tour in 2026 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their debut album, \u201cLook What the Cat Dragged In.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cOh yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely. \u201926 is for sure gonna happen,\u201d he said at the time.<\/a> \u201cI mean, unless some unforeseen thing happens, but all band members have stuck their hand in and said, \u2018Yeah, we\u2018re definitely doing it without a doubt.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Now, however, he\u2019s saying the opposite. <\/p>\n During an interview with Robert Edwards<\/a> of Talkin\u2019 Bout Rock, Rockett said no plans had been made so far for he and the other members of Poison \u2014 Bret Michaels (vocals), Bobby Dall (bass) and C.C. DeVille (guitar) \u2014 to go on tour.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ll set the record straight as far as Poison touring: at this point in time, there is nothing on the books for a 2026 40th-anniversary tour,\u201d Rockett said, per Blabbermouth.<\/a> \u201cAnd I said it months ago when we got presented a contract from Live Nation to go on tour [next year]. C.C., Bobby and I agreed. We thought it was great. We thought the money was great. We thought the lay of the land looked great. And then Bret looked at it and has not agreed to anything. So literally that is where we\u2019re at.\u201d<\/p>\n Rockett then suggested part of the issue might have to do with preferred touring schedules.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m not trying to bash Bret. I\u2019m not trying to start any fights,\u201d he said. \u201cBut one thing you have to understand is, for instance, the Bret Michaels [solo] band tours very differently from the way Poison tours. Poison tours the way Def Leppard and Motley Crue and Luke Bryan or whoever [tours], where we basically kiss our families goodbye for three-plus months, or however long it\u2019s gonna be, and go out on a tour bus and trucks, and we\u2019re playing five nights a week, sometimes six nights a week. <\/p>\n \u201cAnd that\u2019s not how Bret tours. He does weekend-warrior stuff, which there\u2019s nothing wrong with that at all. Joan Jett does it \u2014 I mean, tons of bands do this. The Rockett Mafia <\/a>[Rockett\u2019s other band] does it. We can\u2019t play in Omaha, Nebraska, on a Tuesday night and make any money. We\u2019ll be upside down. But at the level we\u2019ve managed to get to [with Poison], and Def Leppard and bands like this, you can play on a Tuesday night and people will come.\u201d<\/p>\n What\u2019s more, Rockett said that he doesn\u2019t talk much to Michaels these days. <\/p>\n \u201cI talk to C.C. all the time, at least once or twice a week. And his mom and my mom were really close. And my mom passed away, and his mom\u2019s going through a lot right now. And that\u2019s kept us close on one level,\u201d he said. \u201cI talk to Bobby less. Bobby keeps to himself a lot these days, which is okay, if that\u2019s how he \u2026 Bobby can\u2019t help himself but to talk about business, and sometimes he doesn\u2019t wanna talk about business, so he just doesn\u2019t wanna pick up the phone, you know what I mean? But Bret and I do not talk, unfortunately. And that\u2019s a shame \u2014 honestly, it is. So we get bits and pieces of stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n Back in 2024, Michaels told PennLive <\/a>that Poison would reunite and tour in 2026.<\/p>\n \u201cI love touring more than anything in the world.
