\n\tTime flies at a frightening pace. Need a reminder? 5 Seconds of Summer<\/a>\u2019s self-titled debut is more than a decade old. <\/p>\n

\n\tThose four, fresh-faced Sydney lads dropped 5 Seconds of Summer<\/em> back in 2014, the first in a streak of three No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200. After\u00a0Sounds Good Feels Good<\/em>\u00a0(2015), and\u00a0Youngblood<\/em>\u00a0(2018) went to the penthouse, 5SOS etched their name in the record books, as the first Australian act with three No. 1 albums\u00a0on the all-genres weekly chart and the\u00a0only band (not vocal group) to have their first three studio albums debut at the top.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t5 Seconds of Summer is still hot. High school mates Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood and Ashton Irwin return today (Nov. 14) with the release of Everyone\u2019s A Star!<\/em> (via Republic Records), 5SOS\u2019 sixth studio album.<\/p>\n

\n\tRecorded in Los Angeles and Nashville, the new record, with its bright, uptempo vibe, was built \u201cfrom a really genuine place,\u201d reads a statement from the band. \u201cWe weren\u2019t chasing a sound or a trend, we were chasing what felt exciting to us. Every track feels alive in a way that reminds us of why we started making music in the first place. Everyone\u2019s A Star!<\/em> is the most \u2018us\u2019 we\u2019ve ever sounded, and we\u2019re so proud to share it with everyone who\u2019s been part of this journey.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAn extensive list of producers and collaborators joined in for the ride, including Jason Evigan (Maroon 5, Benson Boone, Papa Roach, R\u00fcf\u00fcs Du Sol), Julian Bunetta and John Ryan (Sabrina Carpenter, Teddy Swims), and director Frank Borin, who helmed the music video for \u201cTelephone Busy,\u201d which also arrives today.<\/p>\n

\n\tSpeaking with Billboard<\/em>, Hemmings said the new collection was like a \u201c180 [degree] flip<\/a>\u201d from their \u201cintrospective\u2026 ethereal\u201d self-titled 2022 studio album. Every time they\u2019d soak up something \u201ccrazy or different\u201d in the studio, they went for it. \u201cIt feels like our best work and it feels like every album before has been leading up to it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Aussies will kick off their Everyone\u2019s A Star! Tour<\/a><\/em> in March 2026, initially with dates in the U.K. and Ireland, then weeks-long run across the European continent. U.S. concerts will follow in May, and include two shows at New York\u2019s Madison Square Garden, June 13 and 14.<\/p>\n

\n\tCareer album sales, according to Republic, top 18 million, with over 10 billion streams, and more than six million tickets shifted worldwide. 5SOS has landed 15 songs on the Billboard Hot 100, with a best of No. 7 for 2018\u2019s \u201cYoungblood.\u201d All told, six 5SOS titles have cracked the top 10 on the Billboard 200, including those three leaders.<\/p>\n
