Jelly Roll\u2019<\/a>s Australian leg of his \u201cBeautifully Broken\u201d tour wasn\u2019t a high point for his mental health. During an appearance on the “No Filter<\/a>” podcast with Kate Langbroek this week, he was asked how he manages his mental health on tour.<\/p>\n \u201cOh, it\u2019s a bad week to ask me,\u201d Jelly Roll told Langbroek. \u201cI\u2019m falling apart. It\u2019s a horrible week. Yeah, I\u2019m doing the worst mentally I\u2019ve done in a long time.\u201d<\/p>\n The \u201cSave Me\u201d crooner, whose real name is Jason DeFord, went on to explain that because of how the tour was set up, he was spending a lot of time alone in hotel rooms. A contrast from when he was touring in the U.S. and would travel on a bus with other people.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t like spending a lot of time in my hotel room by myself,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019m in my head. I\u2019m not having fun, I want to go home.\u201d<\/p>\n Jelly Roll also mentioned how his stomach issues had increased tenfold while touring in Australia, causing him to feel ill. \u201cI naturally have an uneasy stomach,\u201d he said. \u201cWhen my stomach\u2019s not right, nothing is right. My mind\u2019s not right, I\u2019m just not thinking clear. All I\u2019m thinking bout right now is \u2018why does my stomach feel like this?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n It\u2019s unclear whether his stomach issues were what led him to cancel his show in Auckland, New Zealand, on Friday, Nov. 8, which was expected to be the final performance of the Australia and New Zealand tour.<\/p>\n
