Online<\/a><\/p>\n The final eviction notice was handed out and <\/span>Big Brother UK<\/span><\/em><\/a> has crowned a new winner.<\/span><\/p>\n Following a tense finale episode of the ITV reality competition, <\/span>Richard Storry<\/strong>, a composer and author from South London, won season 22 of the long-running reality competition series Nov. 14.<\/span><\/p>\n The 60-year-old\u2014who became the oldest winner of <\/span>Big Brother UK<\/span><\/em>\u2014beat out <\/span>Elsa Rae<\/strong> and <\/span>Jenny Baird<\/strong> and, since there was no major \u201ccash bomb\u201d throughout the season, he will take home the grand prize of \u00a3100,000 (roughly $131,600 USD).<\/span><\/p>\n \u201c<\/span>Big Brother<\/span><\/em> team, it has been an absolute pleasure and delight,\u201d <\/span>Richard said<\/span><\/a> as he exited the house. \u201cGood night, and thank you!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n In addition to Richard\u2019s historic win, this season featured a different kind of victory for his housemates. Indeed, first runner-up Elsa sparked a romance with fellow contestant <\/span>Marcus John<\/strong>, who even expressed his love for her during the season.<\/span><\/p>\n “Things with Elsa couldn’t be any better,\u201d <\/span>the 22-year-old said<\/span><\/span> during the Nov. 9 episode. \u201cI think she just knows that I’ve got a lot of love for her. And I was reluctant to use that word. But that’s where we’re at\u2014that’s where I’m at anyway.” <\/span><\/p>\n More from E! Online<\/strong><\/p>\n During the same episode, Marcus referred to Elsa as his \u201cbest friend\u201d and \u201cfuture wife\u201d interchangeably.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWhatever you want to call her,\u201d <\/span>he said<\/span><\/a>. \u201cIt’s a gray area right now, because I want to ask Elsa to be my girlfriend when I take her out on a date outside of here. And \u2018future wife\u2019? That goes without saying.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Since being evicted, Marcus\u2014who placed eighth on the season\u2014has revealed ideas for \u201cloads of different dates\u201d that he and Elsa came up with together while in the house. <\/span><\/p>\n
