Jelly Roll says he struggled with mental health issues during his recent tour.<\/p>\n

The 40-year-old performer, whose real name is Jason DeFord<\/a>, opened up during an episode of the No Filter with Kate Langbroek podcast, recorded during his time in Australia<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m falling apart. It\u2019s a horrible week. I\u2019m doing the worst mentally I\u2019ve done in a long time,” he said following his AU tour<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m really far from home and it’s really hitting me that I\u2019m really far from home, like in an anxious way\u2026 I\u2019m not having fun and I want to go home.”<\/p>\n

Jelly Roll performed six shows in Australia between October 25 and November 4.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“I\u2019m having to be super isolated. I don\u2019t like it,” he said. “I\u2019m spending a lot of time in my hotel room by myself, just in my head. I don\u2019t like it. I miss my family a ton.”<\/p>\n

The singer noted he had been working on breathing techniques to manage anxiety and symptoms but admitted he was overwhelmed. “Everybody wants to go home when they\u2019re sick. That\u2019s just in us,” he said.<\/p>\n

“I just don\u2019t feel good, so I just want to go home.”<\/p>\n

Jelly Roll, who only recently began performing internationally, previously couldn\u2019t travel abroad due to a criminal record that includes felony convictions for drug charges and aggravated robbery.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s funny, America has finally agreed to let me leave and give me a passport, but some countries won\u2019t let me come because of my felonies,” he said in a 2024 Interview<\/a> magazine feature with Jon Bon Jovi. “We\u2019re working on that. I think it\u2019s going to work in my favor.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
