Prince Harry revealed in his memoir Spare that he struggled to watch intimate scenes between his wife and her co-star on the legal drama Suits.<\/p>\n

The Duke of Sussex<\/a> described the “miserable” experience of seeing Meghan Markle<\/a> in a romantic encounter with her on-screen love interest.<\/p>\n

Before meeting Harry in 2016, Meghan portrayed paralegal Rachel Zane in the TV series<\/a>, where her character was romantically involved with Mike Ross, played by Patrick J Adams.<\/a><\/p>\n

Harry admitted that one particular scene from Season Two was so uncomfortable that he felt he needed “electric shock” therapy to erase it from his mind.<\/p>\n

In his 2023 autobiography, he wrote, “I’d witnessed her [Meghan] and a castmate mauling each other in some sort of office or conference room.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Expressing his discomfort, he added, “I didn’t need to see such things live.”<\/p>\n

Meghan’s portrayal on the show allegedly shifted after she began dating Prince Harry<\/a>. Tom Bower’s book Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War between the Windsors claims that “the Palace stepped in to control Meghan’s life,” reports the Mirror.<\/a><\/p>\n

He revealed, “Scripts were thereafter forwarded to Kensington Palace for approval. Orders for changes of words were sent back from London to Los Angeles. The most important demand concerned Meghan’s last scene at her ‘wedding’ to Mike.<\/p>\n

“No photographs, the Palace ordered, were to be shot of Meghan wearing a wedding dress. Between filming, she was always to wear a jacket over the dress. The atmosphere in the studio changed.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Harry is now bracing himself to watch Meghan return to the screen as she prepares to appear in a new movie.<\/p>\n

The Duchess stepped away from her acting career when she married into the royal family, but her love for performance appears to have endured as she makes her Hollywood comeback.<\/p>\n

The 44-year-old has been cast in the upcoming film Close Personal Friends, currently filming in Pasadena, California<\/a>. She joins a star-studded ensemble including Lily Collins, Brie Larson, Jack Quaid and Henry Golding.<\/p>\n

The mid-budget romantic comedy follows two couples – one famous, one ordinary – who form an unlikely friendship during a vacation.<\/p>\n

This marks Meghan’s first acting role since 2017, though sources suggest the return wasn’t initially on her radar, telling The Daily Mail, “This was never in her plan.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The development comes despite Meghan’s 2022 declaration that she had closed the door on acting. Speaking with Variety magazine that year, she stated, “I’m done. I guess never say never, but my intention is to absolutely not.”<\/p>\n

However, shortly after, the Sussexes announced their Netflix documentary series, Harry & Meghan, and she then went on to create her own lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan.<\/p>\n

In June, Meghan, who portrayed attorney Rachel Zane in Suits, admitted that she “sometimes” misses acting on Emma’s Grede’s Aspire podcast.<\/p>\n
