WhistlinDiesel, Arrested for Alleged Tax Evasion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Cody Detwiler<\/strong>, known as WhistlinDiesel on YouTube, has been <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/tag\/celebrity-arrests\/\">arrested<\/a> for alleged tax evasion, <em>Us Weekly<\/em> can confirm.<\/p>\n<p>Detwiler, 27, was arrested on Wednesday, November 12, in Tennessee on two felony counts of alleged tax evasion, according to online records viewed by <em>Us<\/em> on Friday, November 14. The YouTuber was released on bond from Williamson County Court later that same day.<\/p>\n<p>Detwiler\u2019s first hearing is set for November 19.<\/p>\n<p>According to the indictment obtained by <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2025\/11\/14\/whistlindiesel-arrested-tax-evasion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>TMZ<\/em><\/a>, Detwiler\u2019s charges are related to the sales tax owed on a 2020 Ferrari F8 Tributo that was purchased in January 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Detwiler addressed his arrest <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DRBOaWKjJ5P\/?img_index=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">via Instagram<\/a> on Thursday, November 13, sharing his <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/tag\/mugshots\/\">mugshot<\/a>, as well as photos and video footage of his police escort.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWon so big they thought I was cheating. (100% real not AI),\u201d the influencer captioned the post.<\/p>\n<p>Detwiler also denied any wrongdoing by commenting, \u201cI didn\u2019t do ANYTHING.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Many fans expressed their support for Detwiler in the comments section, with one writing, \u201cRooting for you brother!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another user added, \u201cFREE WD,\u201d while a third person commented, \u201cDon\u2019t worry bro I got your bond.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption \">\n<div class=\"ratio-based-placeholder\" style=\"padding-bottom:56.25%;\"><\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\"><span class=\"credit\">Williamson County Sheriff\u2019s Office<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>A Ferrari F8 appears in a <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=KXi-CV--Wq0&amp;t=162s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">video<\/a> that Detwiler posted to YouTube in August 2023. The video showed the red sports car catching fire after the Indiana native drove it through a corn field. A van that was being driven alongside the Ferrari caught fire, as well. Detwiler and his crew could be heard calling the fire department as the cars went up in a blaze.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere goes half a million dollars. I guess don\u2019t drive in cornfields,\u201d Detwiler said at one point. \u201cHard loss, but I can\u2019t say it wasn\u2019t gonna happen anyways. \u2026 We\u2019ll recover from this someday.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the description of the video, he wrote, \u201cI regret to inform everyone that my $400,000 Ferrari F8 and rental minivan with only 5,000 miles on it has recently burned down to a pile of ash. This was a complete accident and I originally intended on filming so many more things with the car, but this was a great lesson to do even more crazy things before your car catches on fire. Tis But A Scratch! We will be back Ferrari \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Detwiler also shared photos of the burning car via Instagram at the time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeah listen uuhhhh\u2026 we f*cked up. His content often revolves around him destroying luxury cars and other vehicles, including a Tesla Model 3, a Ford Ranger, a Mercedes G-Wagon, a Lamborghini Hurac\u00e1n, a Dodge Hellcat, a Farmall Tractor and more.
