It may have been a \u201cdown season\u201d by his own high standards, but Kansas City Royals superstar Bobby Witt Jr. continues to fill his baseball trophy case for his exploits in 2025.<\/p>\n

Witt this week was named to the All-MLB first team. He was selected after finishing fourth in voting for the American League MVP award.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Witt this season hit .295 with 23 home runs and 88 RBIs. He also led the majors in hits \u2014 for the second consecutive year \u2014 and doubles.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The Royals relied on Witt in multiple areas. He piloted the offense and was a key defender at the shortstop position.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
This offseason, Witt was awarded his second AL Silver Slugger Award and a platinum glove as the AL\u2019s best defender.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Inclusion on the All-MLB team is icing on the cake for Witt. He makes the first team for the second consecutive year.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The Royals will rely heavily on Witt again in 2026. They expect to be active this offseason in finding an impact bat to support Witt \u2014 as well as other members of their talented young core \u2014 in the lineup.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Witt made MLB history by becoming the first player with at least 20 homers and 30 stolen bases in each of his first four seasons. He also eclipsed 100 career homers and made the AL All-Star team for a second time.<\/p>\n

If the Royals return to the postseason, Witt \u2014 who enters his fifth year of professional baseball in 2026 \u2014 will surely be leading the way.<\/p>\n
