The British royal family hasn\u2019t exactly had the easiest few months. Or past years, if we\u2019re being honest. From King Charles<\/a>\u2019 cancer diagnosis to the fact that Kate Middleton fought the disease, the health news has already been bad. And then there\u2019s the Andrew drama, which is more consequences of his actions than anything, but that has had repercussions on everyone in the family, particularly amid discussions on why the former Prince was protected for so long.<\/p>\n Now, Queen Camilla<\/a>\u2019s son Tom, revealed that his beloved dog Maud was \u201cbrutally attacked\u201d by another dog and has been left fighting for her life. Tom Parker Bowles shared that while walking his small Jack Russell on Kensington High Street this week, the dog was assaulted by a \u201cvast dog.\u201d Maud is currently in the emergency vet after undergoing surgery to save her life.<\/p>\n More from StyleCaster<\/strong><\/p>\n Related:\u00a0<\/strong>Here\u2019s what each royal inherited from Queen Elizabeth<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cIt [the large dog] spotted Maud, dragged the owner off his feet and brutally attacked her,\u201d Tom Parker Bowles wrote. \u201cIt was 15 stone, at least. Maud is about 2 stone. I eventually managed to fight off the beast, rolling about on the pavement, and desperately trying to unlock its jaws from her tiny torso. It seemed like hours, but was probably no more than 30 seconds. Maud was very, very seriously injured, and has been undergoing very serious surgery.\u201d<\/p>\n Parker Bowles went on to thank the people who helped him in the moment and Village Vet London in Chiswick whom he says \u201csaved\u201d his dog\u2019s life, adding, \u201cIt may all seem a bit sh*t at the moment. But there are so many good people out there. The kindness of strangers is immense,\u201d adding, \u201cDon\u2019t believe all the cr*p about London. It\u2019s still the greatest city on earth and I\u2019m so very proud to be a Londoner.\u201d<\/p>\n The scary moment comes as recent reports about the King\u2019s health have been concerning. Rob Shuter\u2019s\u00a0Substack,<\/a> recently reported that the King is \u201cdying\u201d and his health has forced\u00a0Prince William to carry out more royal duties<\/a>. According to Shuter, Charles is \u201cseriously unwell but determined to carry on,\u201d with a source saying that, \u201cHe\u2019s exhausted, but he won\u2019t stop. \u201cEvery morning he insists on reading his red boxes. He believes his service to the country is his calling \u2014 and he\u2019ll keep going as long as he can.\u201d<\/p>\n Reportedly, preparations are already underway. RadarOnline<\/a><\/em>\u00a0said, \u201cThe palace is desperately trying to downplay the seriousness of His Majesty\u2019s illness,\u201d adding, \u201cBut Charles knows it\u2019s the end, and so do his sons.
