Tom Selleck<\/a> recently addressed the possibility of a Boston Blue<\/a><\/em> appearance after Blue Bloods<\/a><\/em> was canceled in 2024 after 14 seasons.<\/p>\n In an interview with Hour Detroit<\/a> published on November 11, Selleck, 80, opened up about whether he would be open to reprising his role as Frank Reagan on the Blue Bloods<\/em> spinoff. The series stars his onscreen son, Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg<\/a>), after moving from New York City to Boston.<\/p>\n Boston Blue<\/em> premiered on October 17, and already, the show has featured cameos from multiple Blue Bloods<\/em> stars, including Marisa Ramirez<\/a> as Maria Baez and Bridget Moynahan<\/a> as Erin Regan. Although Danny was shown speaking to his father on the phone, would Selleck consider appearing on Boston Blue<\/em>?<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t know if I would do Boston Blue<\/em> \u2014 that\u2019s another show,\u201d Selleck told Hour Detroit. \u201cI think it\u2019s partly my lot in life to make sure Blue Bloods<\/em> has its place in television history, but I don\u2019t think it\u2019s my lot in life to keep playing Frank Reagan.\u201d<\/p>\n Of the cancellation of Blue Blood<\/em>s, Selleck told the publication, \u201cIt was a huge disappointment, and I still don\u2019t know why CBS did it. During those last eight shows, I haven\u2019t wanted to talk about an ending for Blue Bloods<\/em> but about it still being wildly successful,\u201d he explained. \u201cI don\u2019t believe in holding grudges, but if you were to say to the television network, \u2018Here\u2019s a show you can program in the worst time slot you got, and it is going to guarantee you winning Friday night for the next 15 years,\u2019 it would be almost impossible to believe.\u201d<\/p>\n Selleck added, \u201cMy frustration is the show was always taken for granted because it performed from the get-go. So how do I feel? It\u2019s going to take a long time to sort all of this out.\u201d<\/p>\n
