Some of us say things like\u00a0\u201cjiffy feet,\u201d<\/a>\u00a0we might ask Google questions like \u201cWhat do I do if there\u2019s a gator in my pool?<\/a>\u201d and we\u2019re now known nationwide for creating the \u201cFlorida man\u201d stereotype.<\/p>\n If you haven\u2019t paid much attention to Sunshine State news headlines within the past 10 years: a \u201cFlorida man\u201d is what we call the kind of person who would\u00a0attempt to cross the Atlantic Ocean in a hamster wheel<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0lasso a 9-foot alligator.<\/a><\/p>\n Last year, the meaning of the phrase \u201cFlorida man\u201d got a lot weirder and more star-studded. In October 2024, HBO released a show called \u201cIt\u2019s Florida, Man.\u201d \u2013 not to be confused with the Netflix series simply titled \u201cFlorida Man.\u201d<\/p>\n The show is executive-produced in part by Danny McBride, who’s most well-known for co-creating and starring in “Eastbound and Down” and creating and starring in “Righteous Gemstones,” both of which are available to stream on HBO Max<\/a>.<\/p>\n “With equal parts humor and heart, ‘It’s Florida, Man.’ is a love letter to the beaches, backwaters, and basements of a misunderstood yet magical state,” an HBO press release said.<\/p>\n And now, “It’s Florida, Man.” is coming back with a second season. The first episode is expected to drop on HBO’s streaming platform on Black Friday, Nov. 28.<\/p>\n Here\u2019s what we know about HBO Max\u2019s new Florida man show, who\u2019s in the cast and how to stream the show.<\/p>\n The show, executive-produced in part by \u201cEast Bound and Down\u201d and \u201cRighteous Gemstones\u201d creator and star Danny McBride,\u00a0is part documentary, part dramedy, part reenactment and had a long roster of well-known guest stars in its first season.<\/p>\n “This outrageous late-night comedy series brings to life unbelievable ripped-from-the-headlines tales of the Sunshine State \u2013 straight from the people who live there,” a press release from HBO said.<\/p>\n “Featuring candid accounts from everyday Floridians playfully recreated by a rotating cast of actors and comedians, this hilarious and irreverent series sheds light on the viral, wacky, and weird.”<\/p>\n\n
