George Clooney’s son dressed up as Batman for Halloween – oblivious to the fact that his dad once played the superhero.<\/p>\n
The 64-year-old actor – who played the DC Comics character in the 1997 film Batman and Robin – likes it when his and 47-year-old wife Amal Clooney’s eight-year-old twins Alexander and Ella do not know that their dad is an A-list celebrity.<\/p>\n
The Jay Kelly star told US TV show Extra: “They don’t understand it, which is fun, and I appreciate that they don’t because it’s more fun when they don’t … My son dressed up as Batman for Halloween, and I was like, ‘You know I was Batman?’ And he’s like, ‘Not really.’<\/p>\n
“In fairness, he has no idea how right he is about that.”<\/p>\n
And Alexander likes laughing at George when he sees him on TV.<\/p>\n
The ER actor said: “My son, if he sees anything that I’m in, like on television, he just points and laughs. They’re the worst critics, my children. They find me amusing.”<\/p>\n
Elsewhere, George said he and Amal “do the best” they can with juggling parenting and their busy lives.<\/p>\n
He told E! News: “You try to pace it so that I\u2019m doing it, and then she\u2019s home, and then she goes, and I\u2019m home.<\/p>\n
“We try to mix it up a little bit.”<\/p>\n
Despite their best efforts, the Ocean’s Eleven actor admitted his and Amal\u2019s parenting is \u201cnever perfect\u201d – just like anyone else’s.<\/p>\n
George continued: “But, you know, you\u2019re never going to get it all right. No one does.<\/p>\n
“My parents didn\u2019t. I don\u2019t know if your parents did, but you know, you go to work, too.<\/p>\n
“So, you do the best you can.”<\/p>\n
The couple – who got married in 2014 – and their brood live in France full-time after they reportedly purchased a sprawling estate for $8.3 million in 2021.<\/p>\n
And George feels “very lucky” to be able to bring up Alexander and Ella away from Hollywood.<\/p>\n
Last month, he explained to Esquire: “You know, we live on a farm in France.<\/p>\n
“A good portion of my life growing up was on a farm, and as a kid, I hated the whole idea of it.<\/p>\n
“But now, for them, it\u2019s like – they\u2019re not on their iPads, you know? They have dinner with grown-ups and have to take their dishes in. They have a much better life.”<\/p>\n
“I was worried about raising our kids in Los Angeles, in the culture of Hollywood. I felt like they were never going to get a fair shake at life.<\/p>\n
“France – they kind of don\u2019t give a s*** about fame. I don\u2019t want them to be walking around worried about paparazzi.<\/p>\n
“I don\u2019t want them being compared to somebody else\u2019s famous kids.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
