\n\tTodd Snider<\/a>, the singer-songwriter known for music like \u201cAlright Guy\u201d and \u201cLate Last Night,\u201d has died. He was 59.<\/p>\n \n\tThe artist\u2019s record company Aimless, Inc. announced that Snider died on Friday, after previously sharing that he had \u201ctrouble breathing\u201d due to a case of walking pneumonia, following an attack in Salt Lake City.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cAimless, Inc. Headquarters is heartbroken to share that our Founder, our Folk Hero, our Poet of the World, our Vice President of the Abrupt Change Dept., the Storyteller, our beloved Todd Daniel Snider has departed this world,\u201d the company shared in a statement<\/a>. \u201cWhere do we find the words for the one who always had the right words, who knew how to distill everything down to its essence with words and song while delivering the most devastating, hilarious, and impactful turn of phrases? Always creating rhyme and meter that immediately felt like an old friend or a favorite blanket. Someone who could almost always find the humor in this crazy ride on Planet Earth.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThey added in part, \u201cWe love you Todd, sail on old friend, we\u2019ll see you again out there on the road somewhere down the line. You will always be a force of nature.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tSnider embarked on his High, Lonesome and Then Some Tour on October 30, before postponing several dates when he \u201csustained severe injuries<\/a> as the victim of a violent assault\u201d at his stop in Salt Lake City on November 1.<\/p>\n \n\tOn Friday, Aimless shared \u201csome difficult news<\/a>\u201d after Snider \u201cbegan having trouble breathing\u201d upon his return home from the hospital, for his doctors to discover he had been living with an undiagnosed case of walking pneumonia, requiring additional treatment.<\/p>\n \n\tBorn October 11, 1966 in Portland, OR, Snider moved to Santa Rosa, CA after high school, taking up harmonica, before finding himself in Texas, where he discovered his passion for songwriting.<\/p>\n \n\tSince 1994, Snider has released 21 albums including his debut Songs for the Daily Planet<\/em>, as well as New Connection<\/em> (2002), East Nashville Skyline<\/em> (2004), Peace Queer<\/em> (2008), The Excitement Plan<\/em> (2009) and Agnostic Hymns & Stoner Fables<\/em> (2012).<\/p>\n \n\tSnider\u2019s 2006 song \u201cJust Like Old Times\u201d\u2018\u201d inspired the 2020 Justin Corsbie-helmed film Hard Luck Love Song<\/a><\/em>, which stars Michael Dorman, Sophia Bush, RZA and Eric Roberts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
