His son has it. A couple of his brothers had it. he said before noting, &#8220;I do have a rare variant that you don\u2019t see very often. They wanted to err on the side of caution and keep an eye on it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Pickens added, &#8220;It was rare enough that they wanted to make sure that they were crossing all the T\u2019s and dotting all their I\u2019s. Fortunately, prostate cancer is highly treatable, but early detection is the key, and sometimes there are no noticeable symptoms.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">He added, &#8220;Today, I am living proof that early detection works.
