In 2016, Charlap won a GRAMMY for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for <em>Tony Bennett and Bill Charlap: The Silver Lining, The Songs of Jerome Kern<\/em>, and now, Charlap is nominated for Best Jazz Vocal Album following his work in <em>Elemental<\/em> with Dee Dee Bridgewater. For Patitucci, music has been a constant throughout his life, picking up the electric bass at ten years old before dabbling in music composition at 12.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Following his time at San Francisco State University and Long Beach State University, Patitucci has performed with many different artists throughout his career, from jazz luminaries Herbie Hancock, Stan Getz to film composers like James Newton Howard and John Williams.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-8-bit-big-band\"><strong>The 8-Bit Big Band<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>For the <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/nysmusic.com\/2024\/07\/18\/berklee-nyc-celebrates-landmark-2024-commencement\/\">8-Bit Big Band<\/a>, jazz and video game music are synonymous with each other. Made up of 30-65 members from all over the world, the orchestra is based in New York City. Since 2018, the orchestra has released five albums, where \u201cMeta Knight\u2019s Revenge\u201d from their third album, <em>Backwards Compatible<\/em>, won a GRAMMY in 2022.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The 8-Bit Big Band is nominated for two GRAMMYs, including Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album for their newest album, <em>Orchestrator Emulator<\/em>, and Best Arrangement, Instrumental or A Cappella.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-barbra-streisand\"><strong>Barbra Streisand<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Hollywood trailblazer <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/nysmusic.com\/2024\/02\/04\/the-massive-memoir-from-a-glorious-star-my-name-is-barbra-streisand\/\">Barbra Streisand<\/a> does it again.
