Norman singer-songwriter Krystal Keith<\/a> is paying tribute to her father, the late country music icon Toby Keith<\/a>, as the Pittsburgh Steelers<\/a> host Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, Nov. 16.<\/p>\n Krystal Keith<\/a> is performing “The Star-Spangled Banner” ahead of the game, which kicks off at noon Sunday. She will return to the Steelers’ home field at halftime<\/a> Sunday to perform two of her father’s songs: his emotional ode “Don’t Let the Old Man In”<\/a> and and his fervent military tribute “American Soldier.”<\/a><\/p>\n Her performance will pay tribute to her father, a Steelers fan who sang the national anthem at the first regular season game at Pittsburgh’s Acrisure Stadium in 2001<\/a>.<\/p>\n Elements throughout Sunday’s game will honor, empower and connect with American military members, veterans and their families in support of the NFL’s Salute to Service initiative<\/a>. Throughout the game, the team will raise awareness about the U.S. military community by featuring on-field and in-stadium Salute to Service elements, including paying tribute to our active military and veterans.<\/p>\n Toby Keith \u2014 who died Feb. 5, 2024,<\/a> at age 62 after a multiyear battle with stomach cancer<\/a> \u2014 remains beloved for his devoted support of military veterans and service members<\/a> as well as his many country music hits, including the patriotic anthems \u201cCourtesy of the Red, White, & Blue (The Angry American)\u201d<\/a> and “American Soldier.”<\/p>\n A singer-songwriter and mother of two, Krystal Keith has released two albums: her EP “Boulder” and her debut LP “Whiskey & Lace,”<\/a> which includes “Daddy Dance With Me,” the surprise gift of song she wrote and recorded for her father that she first played for him at her wedding.
