Benoit Blanc will return to solve his most dangerous case yet in a new trailer for Netflix\u2019s \u201cWake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWake Up Dead Man\u201d is the third installment in Rian Johnson\u2019s \u201cKnives Out\u201d franchise. The film hits theaters on Nov. 26 as part of a two-week theatrical run before premiering on Netflix on Dec. 12.<\/p>\n
More from Variety<\/strong><\/p>\n The film will once again follow debonair detective Blanc (Daniel Craig) as he takes on a new puzzling case. The official synopsis reads, \u201cAfter a sudden and seemingly impossible murder rocks the town, the lack of an obvious suspect prompts local police chief Geraldine Scott (Mila Kunis) to join forces with renowned detective Benoit Blanc to unravel a mystery that defies all logic.\u201d<\/p>\n Josh O\u2019Connor stars as priest Jud Duplenticy, who is sent to assist Monsignor Jefferson Wicks (Josh Brolin). Wick\u2019s group consists of devout churchgoer Martha Delacroix (Glenn Close), groundskeeper Samson Holt (Thomas Haden Church), lawyer Vera Draven (Kerry Washington), aspiring politician Cy Draven (Daryl McCormack), town doctor Nat Sharp (Jeremy Renner), concert cellist Simone Vivane (Cailee Spaeny) and author Lee Ross (Andrew Scott).<\/p>\n After premiering at TIFF in September, Craig reflected on being a part of the trilogy, which he described as \u201ca constant surprise,\u201d while remembering Johnson\u2019s first script for \u201cKnives Out.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe made it with no ambition whatsoever,\u201d he told Variety. \u201cJust let\u2019s do the best movie we can.
