Prince Harry<\/a> and Meghan Markle<\/a> turned heads earlier this month when they stepped out at Kris Jenner\u2019s 70th birthday party.<\/a> The James Bond-themed celebration, held at Jeff Bezos’s Beverly Hills mansion, had many famous guests in attendance, including the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.<\/p>\n

While the pair seemed to enjoy the party, turning up hand-in-hand,<\/a> their presence did raise some eyebrows. The pair, as ex-working royals, weren\u2019t necessarily expected to be at such an A-list event, especially on Remembrance Weekend,<\/a> when the Royal Family were attending poignant events back in the UK.<\/p>\n

However, while it is believed Meghan is friends with the Kardashian\/Jenner family, one royal expert believes she had another motive for attending the event.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

That motive, according to Tom Sykes, was to prove that she is still relevant in Hollywood.<\/a><\/p>\n

In his Daily Beast Sunday newsletter, Mr Sykes wrote<\/a>: \u201cFor the Sussexes, the symbolism of being at the party was obvious and practical.<\/p>\n

\u201cHere they were at the epicenter of American celebrity power\u2014Kardashians, Bezos, Zuckerberg, Gates, Oprah, Snoop.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor Meghan, now professionally entangled with Amazon via her cameo in a new film for the streamer, it was a clean, shiny rebuttal to the claim that Hollywood<\/a> is \u201cover\u201d them.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
