Nov. 17 (UPI) —<\/span> Rosalia says her love of her learning motivated her to create songs in 13 different languages on her new album Lux<\/i>, which dropped earlier this month.<\/p>\n

The singer, 33, discussed the project<\/a>, and performed a song from the album, on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon <\/i>Sunday.<\/p>\n

“I love learning. I love learning things, so I wanted to learn different languages since long ago. I’ve been practicing in Duolingo, you know. But sometimes, I’m like, ‘I need to do more,'” she told Fallon.<\/p>\n

“While I was figuring out what the concept was — which I was curious about learning from other cultures, learning like how spirituality can be understood in many different places of the world in different ways — I was learning from different saints from all across the world,” she said of her process. “Depending on the story that I wanted to reference, I would use a language or another.”<\/p>\n

Rosalia also took to the stage<\/a> to perform “La Perla” in Spanish. She appeared in a short, strapless white dress with a short tulle train.<\/p>\n

“You’re finally in therapy,” she sings. “Going to a psychologist and a psychiatrist, but what’s it worth if you lie more than you talk? They’ll build a monument to your dishonesty.”<\/p>\n
