Ballerini released a six-song EP, Mount Pleasant<\/em>, on Nov. 14, and fans speculated one of her songs was inspired by Stokes’ ex-girlfriend, Madelyn Cline<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Chase Stokes<\/a> is speaking out after fans flooded Kelsea Ballerini<\/a>‘s comments section to name-check him.<\/p>\n Ballerini released an EP, Mount Pleasant<\/em>, on Friday, Nov. 14, and posted a TikTok<\/a> promoting one of the tracks, “People Pleaser,” on Nov. 17.<\/p>\n In the comments of the video \u2014 which saw the country singer, 32, transform into a glamorous red dress and bold lip look while singing along to the lyrics \u2014 Ballerini’s ex-boyfriend, Stokes, who she recently reunited with<\/a> two months after their breakup<\/a>, slammed fans spreading negativity.<\/p>\n “These comments are f—— weird,” Stokes, 33, wrote. “Grow up.”<\/p>\n The Outer Banks<\/em> star was presumably responding to the many comments on Ballerini’s post that referenced both him and his ex-girlfriend and costar, Madelyn Cline<\/a>.<\/p>\n In response to Stokes’ comment, fans began debating what had sparked his involvement, and one alleged that an Outer Banks<\/em> fan had been posting photos of Stokes and Cline, 27, in the comments section of Ballerini’s posts \u2014 and encouraging others to do the same \u2014 and that Stokes asked the fan to stop. “OBX fans were posting nonsense and Chase called them out so they deleted it,” the fan wrote.<\/p>\n
