A new live and entertainment venue is coming to Lexington.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Rail<\/a> will be a 2,000-seat indoor concert space in The Commons, a new development off of Leestown Road and Turner Commons Way.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to a news release, developer Daren Turner and his partners hope to open the space in October 2026. It will anchor the 42-acre development that is already home to University of Kentucky football coach Mark Stoops\u2019 RD1 Spirits Distillery and Battle Axes, among other tenants.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to promoter John Peters, founder and CEO of MassConcerts, which will be the operator, the venue will have the flexibility to scale from 1,200 seated attendees to 2,000 general admission attendees and is designed to host a wide range of touring acts and community events.<\/p>\n

The Rail also will offer premium seating and VIP areas and amenities, according to the promoter.<\/p>\n

The Rail\u2019s premium offerings will include Golden Circle mezzanine seating, private VIP decks, and The Underbelly Bar, an exclusive area for premium-seat license holders and sponsors. The venue hopes to host all genres of touring acts \u2014 country, rock, hip-hop, metal \u2014 as well as comedy, club nights, special events, and private functions, according to the news release.<\/p>\n
