Keith Urban has broken his silence following his split with Nicole Kidman.<\/p>\n
The 58-year-old<\/a> made an unexpected return to social media over the weekend, after remaining quiet on the breakdown of his marriage to the 58-year-old<\/a> Hollywood star for almost two months.<\/p>\n On Saturday, November 15, the country music star took to Instagram to give fans a glimpse of his new reality TV competition called The Road, which also stars his friend and fellow country singer, Blake Shelton. Urban reportedly “stayed silent” about his and Kidman’s split throughout the entire filming<\/a> of the show. Right @keithurban??? @theroadcbs #TheRoad,” Shelton captioned the post, which Urban shared to Instagram.<\/p>\n The Road premiered on CBS and Paramount+ on October 19. It offers a unique glimpse into Urban’s career.<\/p>\n In the first episode, he opened up about the challenges of life on tour, describing moments when he felt “completely lonely and miserable” while away from his family.<\/p>\n “Where do we start? It’s a calling, and you’re going to do it or you’re not going to make it,” Urban said.<\/p>\n “When you wake up on a tour bus at 3:30 in the morning, sick as a dog, in the middle of nowhere, and you’ve got to play your fifth show that night… missing your friends, your family, completely lonely and miserable…<\/p>\n “You ask yourself, “Why am I doing this?” The only answer can be: Because this is what I’m born to do.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Kidman filed for divorce on September 30, ending her 19-year marriage to Urban.<\/p>\n Sources close to the former couple have suggested that their busy schedules led to a “lack of intimacy” that contributed to the shocking split.<\/p>\n Other insiders claim that Urban has been experiencing a “midlife crisis,” which has led to behavior that ultimately drove a wedge between the longtime couple.<\/p>\n
