His 1989 film &#8220;UHF&#8221; was a box office disappointment, but it has since become a cult classic and featured comedy stars like Fran Drescher, Emo Philips, and Michael Richards. Similarly, his Saturday morning show, &#8220;The Weird Al Show,&#8221; was canceled after just one season in 1997.
