On December 1, the Duke of Sussex will be back in Toronto for the second trip in a month. One hopes it goes better than his last. <\/p>\n

In the week before Remembrance Day, he was in the city to visit Canadian Armed Forces reservists and veterans as well as headlining a fundraiser. Those events may be worthy causes but a series of side issues were too tempting not to claim the majority of press attention, such as him claiming to be \u201cunder duress\u201d when he wore a L.A. Dodgers baseball cap to a World Series game against the Toronto Blue Jays and more recently, when <\/span>palace sources told the Times<\/a> that he hadn\u2019t informed them in advance of his Canadian trip \u201cas a courtesy,\u201d as his office had claimed (On Sunday, <\/span>Sussex camp sources insisted<\/a> that they had given royal officials a heads up). <\/span><\/p>\n

You\u2019ll remember that one big irritant to any family reconciliation was the belief that Harry and Meghan were deliberately upstaging the royals, hence an offer earlier in the year to share their schedule to avoid such conflicts. Well, Harry\u2019s trip to Canada coincided with Prince William\u2019s long-planned trip to Brazil for the Earthshot Prize and COP30.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, Harry and Meghan have hinted that they may be going to Australia, which is prepping for a big tour by William and Kate next year (it is still unconfirmed, but the PM has formally invited them).<\/p>\n

Now, Prince Harry is returning to Canada on December 1 for an \u201cexclusive conversation\u201d at the end of the <\/span>one-day Powerhouse conference<\/a> put on by the Ontario Real Estate Association. It\u2019s an odd fit, as a scan of the other speakers and conference agenda shows it to be an event focused around housing in the province of Ontario, which is in the midst of a serious housing crisis. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
