Every time Christopher Nolan releases a new film, it\u2019s a real event. But it\u2019s especially true after winning the Oscar for Oppenheimer.<\/em> Add to that, his follow-up being his first mythological epic? Even more so. Next summer\u2019s The Odyssey<\/em> features an all-star cast, and we\u2019ve got some first-look images via Empire Magazine<\/em><\/a>, with our first good look at Tom Holland as Telemachus<\/a>, son of Odysseus, played in the film by Matt Damon. We also get a good look at Nolan\u2019s The Dark Knight Rises<\/em> and Interstellar<\/em> star Anne Hathaway in the role of Penelope, wife of Odysseus, whom he spends a decade trying to reach. Also starring in The Odyssey<\/em> are Zendaya, Lupita Nyong\u2019o, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal, Elliot Page, Mia Goth, John Leguizamo, Samantha Morton, and Benny Safdie. Dozens of other well-known names fill out the smaller roles. The Odyssey <\/em>has a proposed $250 million budget, the biggest of Nolan\u2019s entire career<\/a>. But he\u2019s definitely one of the few directors in Hollywood who is bankable to that extent these days. Nolan shot The Odyssey <\/em>all over the globe, entirely in IMAX<\/a>, including in Morocco, Greece, Italy, Scotland, Iceland, Western Sahara, and Los Angeles.<\/p>\n
