\n An Australian serial intruder who accosted Ariana Grande during a Wicked premiere in Singapore was sentenced to 9 days in jail Monday for being a public nuisance.\n <\/p>\n

\n Johnson Wen, 26, pleaded guilty to one charge of causing annoyance to the public after he jumped over the barricade at a premiere for \u201cWicked: For Good\u201d on November 13 and rushed toward Grande, according to Singaporean news channel CNA.<\/a>\n <\/p>\n

\n Video of the interaction<\/a> showed Wen running up to Grande and throwing his arms around her as she walked the yellow carpet with the Wicked cast at Universal Studios Singapore.\n <\/p>\n

\n Grande\u2019s co-star Cynthia Erivo stepped in to push Wen away from the pop star, who appeared shocked, before security guards tackled him.\n <\/p>\n

\n celebrity.land has reached out to Grande\u2019s representatives for comment.\n <\/p>\n

\n Wen, who goes by \u201cPyjama Man\u201d on social media and calls himself the \u201cMost Hated\u201d troll, is a serial stage crasher.\n <\/p>\n

\n He was charged by Australian police after he interrupted a Katy Perry concert in Sydney earlier this year, according to celebrity.land-affiliate 9 News.<\/a> An Instagram page under his name also includes videos of Wen crashing concerts by the Chainsmokers and The Weeknd, as well as sports events including the FIFA Women\u2019s World Cup.\n <\/p>\n

\n In a video of the intrusion posted to Instagram last week, Wen thanked Grande for \u201cletting me jump on the yellow carpet with you.\u201d\n <\/p>\n

\n Social media users criticized Wen in the comments, calling his actions \u201cunhinged\u201d and \u201cembarrassing.\u201d\n <\/p>\n

\n \u201cRushing a woman \u2013 any woman, let alone someone who has survived unimaginable trauma \u2013 is not a \u2018prank.\u2019 It\u2019s not \u2018a stunt.\u2019 It\u2019s not \u2018funny.\u2019 It\u2019s pathetic, dangerous, and shows a total lack of respect for boundaries, safety, and basic human decency,\u201d said one Instagram user.\n <\/p>\n

\n Grande has spoken openly<\/a> about suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) following a suicide bombing at her concert in Manchester, United Kingdom in May 2017, which killed 22 people.\n <\/p>\n

\n Grande has not commented publicly on the counter with Wen. Erivo alluded to it during a special Screen Actors Guild screening in Los Angeles Saturday, according to Entertainment Weekly.<\/a>\n <\/p>\n

\n Sitting next to Grande, Erivo said \u201cWe have come through some s****. We have come through some stuff in our lives, in our daily workings. I mean\u2026 even this week.\u201d\n <\/p>\n

\n \u201cWe\u2019ve had to really deal with some stuff, and this move has allowed us to really grow as people, as friends, as sisters, as artists, as actresses,\u201d Erivo said, according to Entertainment Weekly.\n <\/p>\n

\n During Wen\u2019s sentencing, District Judge Christopher Goh told Wen he was \u201cattention seeking,\u201d while Deputy Public Prosecutor Jane Lim called Wen a \u201cserial intruder\u201d with a \u201cglaring lack of remorse,\u201d CNA reported.\n <\/p>\n

\n Singapore is known for its strict no nonsense laws, designed to maintain public order and cleanliness, which include a ban on chewing gum sales.\n <\/p>\n

\n Wen, who maintained a faint smile throughout the proceedings, said he was going to stop stage crashing and that he\u2019s been \u201cgetting in trouble,\u201d according to CNA.\n <\/p>\n

\n Goh said while Wen has no criminal record in Singapore, this isn\u2019t the first time he\u2019s done something like this.\n <\/p>\n

\n \u201cAnd it does not appear that you had faced any sort of consequences for your past acts, and perhaps you thought that the same will occur here, that is to say, you would have suffered no consequences for the same acts here,\u201d said the judge, according to CNA.\n <\/p>\n

\n \u201cMr. Wen, you are wrong. You should be mindful that there are always consequences for one\u2019s actions,\u201d the judge said, adding he hoped the prison sentence would end Wen\u2019s behavior \u201cfor good.\u201d\n <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
