The penultimate Knockout Round episode of Season 28 of\u00a0The Voice<\/a> aired on Monday, November 17. Three more pairs went head-to-head, with their coaches deciding who would move through to the Playoffs<\/a>. With no Saves or Steals in this round, the decisions were tougher than ever.<\/p>\n Snoop Dogg<\/a> and Reba McEntire<\/a> both had their Mic Drops left going into Round 4 of Knockouts, which meant that they had an opportunity to nominate one of their artists to perform at the Rose Parade (viewers will ultimately vote for the winner of the Mic Drop). This week, McEntire hit her button for one deserving singer.<\/p>\n Scroll down to find out who got the Mic Drop, for a recap of the night\u2019s performances, and to find out who\u2019s moving on in the competition.<\/p>\n McEntire\u2019s country artists Aaron Nichols and Cori Kennedy were up first with renditions of \u201cHurricane\u201d by Band of Heathens and \u201cYou and I\u201d by Lady Gaga<\/a>, respectively.<\/p>\n Aaron Nichols and Cori Kennedy<\/p>\n Griffin Nagel\/NBC<\/p>\n Michael Bubl\u00e9 said both performances were \u201cincredible,\u201d noting that Cori didn\u2019t \u201cshrink\u201d when she had to perform after Aaron \u201ccrushed\u201d his set. \u201cAaron, I wish I had that gritty thing that seems to come so easily to you,\u201d he added. \u201cI could sing like that, but then I would have to cancel the next three weeks of shows.\u201d<\/p>\n Snoop praised Aaron for how he \u201ccontrols\u201d his vocals, and said he\u2019s a \u201cstar whether you win or not.\u201d He also made sure to note Cori\u2019s \u201cconfidence\u201d and \u201cspirit.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cCori, you just continue to shine,\u201d Niall Horan<\/a> gushed, comparing her to Stevie Nicks<\/a>. \u201cAaron, if that was on the CMAs<\/a>, that would be all over the internet the next day.\u201d He said he\u2019d \u201clean toward\u201d picking Aaron because of his \u201cconsistency.\u201d<\/p>\n Ultimately, McEntire had to make her decision. She said that both of her artists are \u201cso good,\u201d but chose Aaron as the winner. \u201cI chose Aaron to move forward because he knows his lane, he\u2019s very powerful in his lane, and he stays in it,\u201d she explained. She also chose him as her Mic Drop participant!<\/p>\n Team Snoop\u2019s Carolina Rodriguez, who he stole from Horan in the Battles, and Mindy Miller were up next. Carolina sang Adele<\/a>\u2018s version of \u201cLove Song\u201d by The Cure<\/a>, and Mindy sang \u201cIn Color\u201d by Jamie Johnson.<\/p>\n Carolina Rodriguez and Mindy Miller<\/p>\n Griffin Nagel\/NBC<\/p>\n \u201cMindy, you\u2019re so solid, so consistent, and your tone is so beautiful,\u201d Horan began. However, he admittedly was \u201cbiased\u201d toward Carolina, since she used to be on his team. \u201cThe challenge she gave herself and how she took it on was enough to make me \u2019til that way for sure,\u201d he added, praising her difficult song choice.<\/p>\n McEntire said Carolina\u2019s performance reminded her of a James Bond movie, which Carolina said she was going for. \u201cMindy, Jamie would be very proud,\u201d she added. \u201cYou did a great job. \u201cI\u2019m so proud of you representing country music like you have. Snoop, I think I\u2019d go with Mindy.\u201d<\/p>\n Bubl\u00e9 admitted that he would want to choose Carolina because \u201cI think there\u2019s a massive place for you to surprise a lot of people.\u201d But, in the end, Snoop picked Mindy as the winner.<\/p>\n \u201cMindy just sounded mature, she sounded grown,\u201d he explained. \u201cIf the country music world is what I think they are, they are going to support the hell out of her.\u201d<\/p>\n The final pairing of the night was Team Bubl\u00e9\u2019s Jazz McKenzie and Teo Ramdel, who performed \u201cCruisin’\u201d by Smokey Robinson<\/a> and \u201cIt\u2019s My Life\u201d by Bon Jovi<\/a>, respectively. Teo purposely didn\u2019t choose a Spanish song this round so he could push himself out of his comfort zone.<\/p>\n Jazz McKenzie and Teo Ramdel<\/p>\n Griffin Nagel\/NBC<\/p>\n \u201cTeo, that was a hell of a performance,\u201d Snoop gushed. \u201cAll of those moves .. that\u2019s superstar stuff right there. Jazz, you are an exceptional vocalist.\u201d He told Bubl\u00e9 that Jazz would be the winner if he had to pick.<\/p>\n Horan praised Teo for challenging himself with his song choice. \u201cYou\u2019re just Teo, and you do Teo very well,\u201d he said. \u201cCongratulations, it was amazing again. Jazz, you\u2019re arguably the best singer on this show. It\u2019s amazing what you can do and what you can do so effortlessly.\u201d<\/p>\n McEntire told Jazz that she\u2019s been \u201cin awe\u201d of her throughout this competition, and applauded Teo for adding choreography to his \u201cpowerful\u201d performance.<\/p>\n Bubl\u00e9 went with Jazz as the winner of the Knockout. \u201cI think Jazz might be one of the greatest singers I\u2019ve heard in a long time,\u201d he said. \u201cShe has a massive range, she has power. I think she could be a frontrunner for winning this competition.\u201d<\/p>\n After four nights of Knockout Rounds, here\u2019s where the teams stand so far ahead of the Playoffs.
