Two decades into this art form and I just can\u2019t quit it,” Colby said of performing burlesque under the stage name Dannie Diesel. “I get the pure joy of connecting with my audience and making new friends each time I take the stage. My life\u2019s dream is this moment here, shared with a group of beautiful women who came to their first burly experience here with us at\u00a0@ecdysiastartsmuseum<\/a>.”<\/p>\n In the update, Colby said that a recent show, the “Halloween Hustle,” was “exactly the reassurance that I needed to realize that I am on the right path and in line with my calling.”<\/p>\n “Dance, especially burly is a process,” she continued before announcing, “My current process is producing the \u201cQC New Year Reverie\u201d at\u00a0@adlertheatredavenport<\/a>\u00a0Dec 31. It’s truly a beautiful and inspiring thing to witness.”<\/p>\n Meanwhile, one of her fellow burlesque dancers commented, “All you create is the product of so much intention, thought, inclusion and rebellion.
