A rapper who drew one of the largest crowds ever in New York State Fair concert history<\/a> is returning to Syracuse.<\/p>\n A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie will perform at Upstate Medical Arena at The Oncenter War Memorial on Sunday, March 29, 2026. No opening act has been named for the show, which will begin at 8 p.m.<\/p>\n Tickets go on sale Friday, Nov. 21, at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster<\/a> or in person at the Solvay Bank Box Office at The Oncenter (760 S. State Street Syracuse, NY 13202). Prices have not been announced.<\/p>\n A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie previously performed at the War Memorial in 2023 and at the NYS Fair in 2018, when he drew a then-record 40,610 fans to Chevy Court. Only five artists since then have drawn larger crowds to the fair, including Nelly, Flo Rida and country singers Lainey Wilson, Jessie Murph and Megan Moroney.<\/p>\n A Boogie, whose real name is Artist Julius Dubose, is known for his mix of trap beats and emotional storytelling. The hip-hop star\u2019s hits include \u201cLook Back At It,\u201d \u201cMy S—,\u201d \u201cDrowning\u201d and \u201cStill Think About You,\u201d plus collaborations with Ed Sheeran (\u201c1000 Nights\u201d), Chris Brown (\u201cPills & Automobiles\u201d), Summer Walker (\u201cStretch You Out\u201d), Roddy Rich (\u201cTip Toe\u201d) and Metro Boomin (\u201cCalling\u201d from the \u201cSpider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse\u201d soundtrack).<\/p>\n Named after \u201cAce Boogie,\u201d a character in the film \u201cPaid in Full,\u201d and his habit of wearing hoodies, Dubose released his most recent A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie album, \u201cBetter Off Alone,\u201d in 2024. He also co-founded Highbridge The Label and appeared at a Syracuse basketball game<\/a> in 2023 to help recruit player Elijah Moore, who committed to Syracuse University <\/a>shortly afterwards.<\/p>\n His 2018 performance at the NYS Fair drew some criticism over reports of violence<\/a> prior to and after his concert.
