Adam Sandler<\/strong> <\/a>says he\u2019s grateful to have Jackie Sandler<\/strong>, his wife of 22 years, by his side.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re very close. We like to talk, like to laugh, like to have fun, and like to think about things and take care of our kids,\u201d Adam, 59, told People<\/i><\/span><\/a> in an interview published on Saturday, November 15.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n He added, \u201cI\u2019m just more thankful than I\u2019ve ever been. Happy I got to do this life, happy [about] all the people who\u2019ve been with me during all this stuff, and helped me out, and [it\u2019s] just been a phenomenal time. My whole family\u2019s always been great to me. My wife and I talk about stuff, and what to do, and what to do next, and it\u2019s just been a very cool life.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Adam met Jackie, 51, on the set of his 1999 comedy Big Daddy<\/i>, in which the actress played a waitress. The pair married in 2003 and later welcomed daughters Sadie, 19, and Sunny, 17, both of whom have appeared in Adam\u2019s movies alongside Jackie.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The family appeared together in 2023\u2019s You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah<\/i> as well as this year\u2019s Happy Gilmore 2<\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s always been our thing to work with our friends and family,\u201d Sandler explained to USA Today <\/i>earlier this year. \u201cIt\u2019s cool to see [my kids] getting better. They work hard and they go to school for it, and they love it. So, yeah, I\u2019m just proud. Couldn\u2019t love them more.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Later that month, he confessed feeling \u201cso much relief\u201d over his daughters\u2019 success following in his footsteps<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cOh, my god, you\u2019re just relieved,\u201d she said. \u201cOnce they do it well, nothing feels better as a parent. It must be like when you\u2019re the parents of a baseball player and you\u2019re at the game and they get a hit. You just go, \u2018Thank God.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
