Globally famous Hollywood actor Tom Cruise has finally marked a major milestone in his incredible journey in the film industry by receiving the Academy Honorary Award.<\/p>\n

In spite of his remarkable career and being counted among the most bankable stars, the 63-year-old actor has never won an Oscar, though he has been nominated four times.<\/p>\n

However, the face of the blockbuster franchise Mission: Impossible<\/i> received an honorary Oscar award at the Governors Awards on 16 November.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The award was presented by filmmaker Alejandro G. Inarritu, who is currently working with Cruise on a new film set for release in 2026. <\/p>\n

Standing on stage, the Top Gun<\/i> actor delivered an emotional and almost movie-like speech, looking back at his early love for cinema and the career that shaped him.<\/p>\n

He spoke about how films helped him understand the world and connect with people far beyond his own life. <\/p>\n

The Risky Business<\/i> lead further said cinema taught him to appreciate differences and also see the many ways people are alike.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He said, \u201cIn a theatre, we laugh together, we feel together, we hope together,\u201d\u00a0 calling movies a powerful art form that still matters deeply to him. He added that making films is not just his job but who I am.<\/p>\n

Cruise also shared memories of watching films as a child, recalling the thrill of a single beam of light hitting the screen and opening up a world much bigger than his own. That feeling, he said, pushed him toward adventure and curiosity.<\/p>\n

The event was packed with major stars, including Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Stone, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Dwayne Johnson, as awards season officially begins.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
