ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) \u2014 The University of Rochester\u2019s Vocal Point, an a capella group, has just released new music, and they did it with a lot of determination.<\/p>\n
Vocal Point was founded in 1969 as a women\u2019s choir, later becoming an a cappella group, and since 2020 has been gender-inclusive.<\/p>\n
Every year, the group chooses three of the songs they\u2019ve been performing to record.<\/p>\n
Members of the group are studying in majors including cell and developmental biology, psychology and business, and biomedical engineering, so singing is a fun activity they can do with their friends.<\/p>\n
The group is completely self-funded. They raise money through their alumni network and crowdfunding page<\/a>.
