A royal<\/a> wedding is on the cards for the coming months as another sweet engagement has taken place. Prince Johannes Oettingen-Wallerstein, from the House of Oettingen, proposed to his girlfriend, Luisa Textor, while in Japan for a family wedding, according to reports.<\/p>\n

The engagement, which saw Johannes ask for his girlfriend’s hand in marriage with a stunning sapphire ring, has been celebrated on social media by Johannes\u2019 father, Prince Carl Eugen zu Oettingen-Wallerstein.<\/p>\n

The proud dad wrote on Instagram<\/a>: \u201cAnd suddenly she says yes! Our son @johannesow and @luisatxt got engaged in Kyoto.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He continued: \u201cWe are so incredibly happy for them both \u2013 for their courage, their shared ‘yes,’ and for everything that lies ahead.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll the very best to you both. May life fulfil your promises \u2013 and perhaps even a little more. Hugs!\u201d<\/p>\n

While not a very well-known royal, Johannes is part of the House of Oettingen, described as a high-ranking noble family from Franconia and Swabia that ruled various estates between the 12th century and the beginning of the 19th century, as reported by Tatler.<\/a><\/p>\n

He is the grandson of the current head of the dynasty.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It is believed that no date for the wedding has yet been set by the couple.<\/p>\n

While Prince Carl Eugen zu Oettingen-Wallerstein may have shared his son\u2019s happy news on his own Instagram, it is not known whether the couple did so on their accounts, which are both set on private.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
