Folks who stopped in recently at Raising Cane\u2019s in Athens, Georgia might have thought they were seeing things, but \u2026 nope, that was in fact country music star Megan Moroney slinging chicken boxes behind the counter.<\/p>\n

Of course, per Whiskey Riff<\/b>,<\/a> many of Moroney\u2019s fans knew she was slated to appear that the location about 24 hours in advance, and some even drove from as many as six hours to get a chance to see her. And Raising Cane\u2019s rolled out the red carpet for the star to celebrate the impending release of her new album, \u201cCloud 9.\u201d<\/p>\n

In fact, according to Whiskey Riff, the restaurant went full \u201cCloud 9,\u201d decorating the restaurant in pink and sparkles. The singer reportedly greeted her fans by signing autographs, taking selfies and handing out Raising Cane\u2019s gift cards. But she didn\u2019t stop there. She also clocked in and served up chicken to folks at the drive-thru.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnytime I come here and drive through downtown or down Millage (Ave.), I\u2019m just reminded that I used to be the sorority girl who would just make up songs in my sorority house and didn\u2019t have anybody to listen to them at the time, really,\u201d Moroney said during the appearance. \u201cSo to now \u2026 it\u2019s just humbling to be back and anytime even when I announced, \u2018beautiful things,\u2019 we made an event out of it. I love seeing my fans face to face and getting to interact with them as much as I can cause I know that they\u2019ve fueled this entire thing. I don\u2019t get to play plays unless they show up and they certainly show up.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I started my career, one of my dream brands to work with was Cane\u2019s,\u201d she added. \u201cSo this really feels full circle.\u201d<\/p>\n
