Magenta Light Studios has appointed Bill Vergos as head of digital film distribution, where he\u2019ll oversee the studio\u2019s digital release strategy and platform partnerships.<\/p>\n

In his tenure, he established, launched and oversaw the entire division.<\/p>\n Under his leadership, Freestyle released more than 700 titles and spearheaded digital strategies that connected independent filmmakers with global audiences across theatrical, TVOD, SVOD, AVOD and emerging FAST channels.\u200b<\/p>\n \u201cBob Yari has spent his career championing independent storytellers, and being part of that mission at Magenta Light Studios feels like a natural step,\u201d Vergos said.<\/p>\n \u201cIndependent filmmaking has always been rooted in creativity, risk, and community, and that\u2019s the world I feel most connected to. Our goal at Magenta Light Studios is to be the home for indie filmmakers, a place where bold stories, inventive ideas, and passionate creators can truly reach audiences in new and meaningful ways.\u201d<\/p>\n Highlights from his career include \u201cAllswell in New York\u201d starring Emmy-winner Liza Col\u00f3n-Zayas (\u201cThe Bear\u201d), \u201cAll Happy Families\u201d starring Josh Radnor (\u201cHow I Met Your Mother\u201d), the animated feature \u201cUnicorn Boy\u201d featuring Patton Oswalt and Katie Leclerc and the Slamdance-winning \u201cDaruma\u201d starring Tobias Forrest and Abigail Hawk.<\/p>\n Vergos brings over 25 years of experience across film, television and digital media.
