Ariana Grande appeared on The Tonight Show ahead of the arrival of Wicked: For Good and took the opportunity to showcase a brief history of famous duets with host Jimmy Fallon.<\/p>\n
The duo rolled through a series of duets, including Wicked musical number \u201cFor Good,\u201d Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell\u2019s Ain\u2019t No Mountain High Enough,\u201d Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper\u2019s \u201cShallow,\u201d and Brandy and Monica\u2019s \u201cThe Boy Is Mine.\u201d Their performance spanned both Broadway and film, including animated flicks like Aladdin. They concluded with Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes\u2019 \u201c(I\u2019ve Had) the\u00a0Time\u00a0of My\u00a0Life.\u201d<\/p>\n
More from Rolling Stone<\/strong><\/p>\n Grande also sat down with Fallon to discuss Wicked: For Good<\/a>, which in theaters Friday, and her upcoming slot hosting Saturday Night Live alongside musical guest Cher. \u201cI\u2019m so excited,\u201d Grande said of SNL. \u201cI didn\u2019t know it was going to be her until like two days before, and I found out and I almost passed out. I had no idea what to do. What an honor.\u201d She added, \u201cThis is one of the gayest SNL episodes that has ever happened, right?\u201d<\/p>\n The singer reflected on making both Wicked films at the same time. \u201cIt was interesting to watch it so many years after we had finished because shot both simultaneously,\u201d she said of the sequel. \u201cSo in my head they\u2019re both one story and one experience.\u201d She added that she\u2019s \u201cgrateful\u201d it was split into two movies because \u201cyou really get to know Glinda the way that I got to know her and to love her in order to play her.\u201d<\/p>\n After Wicked: For Good, Grande will prepare to head out on the road for her\u00a0Eternal Sunshine\u00a0tour<\/a>, which\u00a0will mark her first extended run of concert dates since 2019.\u00a0But in a new interview<\/a> on\u00a0Amy Poehler\u2018s\u00a0Good Hang\u00a0podcast, the singer says she has no plans for another tour in the foreseeable future.<\/p>\n \u201cThe last 10 or 15 years will look very different to the ones that are coming up,\u201d she said. \u201cI don\u2019t want to say anything definitive. I do know that I\u2019m very excited to do this small tour, but I think it might not happen again for a long, long, long, long, long time. I\u2019m going to give it my all and it\u2019s going to be beautiful.
