Leslie Bibb<\/a> has set her first project since checking into The White Lotus<\/em>: a starring role in six-part Cold War crime series Top of the Rock<\/em>.<\/p>\n Bibb, who played vacationer Kate opposite Michelle Monaghan and Carrie Coon in season three of Mike White\u2019s hit HBO series earlier this year, has signed on to play Captain Diane Goodman in the Icelandic noir.<\/p>\n More from The Hollywood Reporter<\/strong><\/p>\n The series comes from Iceland\u2019s leading production company Truenorth, alongside Mystery Productions and Vertu.<\/p>\n Set in 1983, amid escalating Cold War paranoia, Top of the Rock<\/em> follows U.S. military police investigator Captain Goodman and MP Sarah Ellis, both stationed at the NATO base in Keflavik, Iceland. When an American soldier is found dead under suspicious circumstances outside the base, Goodman and Ellis are forced to work closely with the Icelandic police. They soon uncover a web of espionage, betrayal and political deceit \u2014\u00a0trapped between duty and diplomacy, the two women must navigate a dangerous network of secrets before more lives are lost.<\/p>\n Created by Dav\u00ed\u00f0 \u00d3skar \u00d3lafsson (The Valhalla Murders<\/em>, Trom<\/em>) and J\u00f3n Atli J\u00f3nasson (Arctic Circle<\/em>, The Deep<\/em>), and co-created by Ragnar J\u00f3nsson (Black Sands<\/em>), the drama will be directed by \u00d3lafsson and written by J\u00f3nasson and \u00d3ttar M. Nor\u00f0fj\u00f6r\u00f0 (The Darkness<\/em>, The Valhalla Murders<\/em>, Reykjav\u00edk 112<\/em>).<\/p>\n Top of the Rock<\/em> is produced by Kristinn Thordarson, \u00d3lafsson and \u00c1g\u00fast Freyr Ingason, with Truenorth\u2019s CEO and Founder Leifur B. Dagfinnsson serving as EP.<\/p>\n \u201cTop of the Rock <\/em>will redefine Icelandic noirs for audiences around the globe,\u201d said Kristinn Thordarson, co-svp of film and TV at Truenorth and producer of the series. \u201cIt will reinvigorate their passion for complex and captivating storytelling in the most picturesque setting.\u201d<\/p>\n The production is developed and financed by Truenorth, Mystery Productions and Vertu, with Enderby Entertainment, Baradal \/ Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Pittoors d\u2019Haveskercke, and Lumi\u00e8re as key partners. Emmy-winning casting director Alexa L. Fogel (True Detective<\/em>, Ozark<\/em>) also serves as an EP on the series.<\/p>\n Truenorth is one of Northern Europe\u2019s leading production companies. In recent years, it has produced True Detective <\/em>season four, Mission: Impossible \u2014 The Final Reckoning <\/em>and The Northman<\/em> out of Iceland.
