\n Not \u201cneedy\u201d for stan attention. After \u201cten or 15 years\u201d of toiling away in the hits factory, Ariana Grande wants to take a break from being a pop star.\u00a0On Good Hang<\/em><\/a>, Grande told host Amy Poehler that she\u2019s excited about her upcoming Eternal Sunshine<\/em> tour<\/a>, but mostly because it\u2019s the last one she\u2019ll do for a \u201clong, long, long, long time.\u201d \u201cI\u2019m going to give it my all,\u201d Grande said. \u201cAnd it\u2019s going to be beautiful and I\u2019m so grateful. That\u2019s why I\u2019m doing it.\u201d Then, music can take a backseat. \u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018one last hurrah!\u2019\u201d she said.<\/p>\n Instead, she\u2019s diving into her acting career. \u201cI spent so much time only doing pop music, but I grew up as a girl who loved musical theater and comedy,\u201d she told Poehler. \u201cI think the thing that will be best for my soul and also my art, and for what I\u2019m giving myself to, is if I\u2019m chasing things that sort of feel just very right in the moment, even if it\u2019s spontaneous.\u201d To that end, after Wicked: For Good<\/em><\/a>, Grande will star in the upcoming comedy film Focker-in-Law<\/em><\/a> as triathlete Olivia. She\u2019s making up for lost comedy time. \u201cWhen I came into all of this and my pop career sort of took over my life, I didn\u2019t have that at all,\u201d she said. \u201cI feel very privileged and grateful to have learned that there can be room for different creative endeavors.\u201d That includes acting in the next season of American Horror Story<\/em><\/a> with Evan Peters and Jessica Lange. And who wouldn\u2019t give up a music career to be physically closer to Jessica Lange?<\/p>\n
