{"id":2166644,"date":"2025-11-19T15:26:09","date_gmt":"2025-11-19T15:26:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/?p=2166644"},"modified":"2025-11-19T15:26:09","modified_gmt":"2025-11-19T15:26:09","slug":"elton-john-tribute-to-headline-entertainment-on-ncls-newest-cruise-ship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/elton-john-tribute-to-headline-entertainment-on-ncls-newest-cruise-ship\/","title":{"rendered":"Elton John Tribute to Headline Entertainment on NCL\u2019s Newest Cruise Ship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>When Norwegian Luna debuts in March 2026, it will feature a broad array of new entertainment led by an Elton John tribute show appropriately titled \u201cRocket Man.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Other new shows will include a \u201cfuturistic production\u201d that blends music and \u201ccirque artistry,\u201d a Syd Norman\u2019s Pour House tribute to the Eagles, an adults-only Vegas-style show, and a dedicated entertainment experience just for kids.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCreating the entertainment lineup for Norwegian Luna has been an incredible and fulfilling journey,\u201d said Bryan White, vice president of entertainment production at Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, Ltd. \u201cFrom captivating tribute concerts to awe-inspiring original productions, our lineup has something for guests of all ages, delivering unforgettable experiences for everyone onboard.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rocket Man<\/h2>\n<p>Similar in style to the cruise line\u2019s Prince tribute, which headlines on Norwegian Aqua, \u201cRocket Man: A Celebration of Elton John\u201d will be a high-energy concert-style show that blends archival video and imagery with \u201cpowerhouse vocals, jaw-dropping choreography, and fashion-forward costumes.\u201d It is being created by the cruise line\u2019s in-house Creative Studios in Tampa, Fla.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a lifelong music fan, I\u2019m especially excited to celebrate the work of Elton John, an icon whose influence spans generations, with a show that is as dynamic and unforgettable as himself,\u201d said Harry Sommer, president and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, Ltd.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sci-Fi, Acrobatics &amp; the Future<\/h2>\n<p>The second mainstage show headlining on Norwegian Luna will be HIKO: Innovation Meets Wonder, which NCL describes as an \u201cotherworldly new production that blends cutting-edge 3D mapping, multi-sensory video projection, and a fully original score,\u201d all designed to transport guests to a futuristic world.<\/p>\n<p>The show also features four gymnasts to perform \u201cgravity-defying acts,\u201d set against the backdrop of visuals and sci-fi inspired costumes designed by Guy Brassard, a longtime collaborator with Cirque du Soleil.<\/p>\n<p>The star of the show is HIKO \u2013 whom guests might encounter throughout the ship in interactive meet-and-greet experiences that bring the show to life beyond the stage.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">An Eagles Tribute<\/h2>\n<p>Following the success and popularity of  the Fleetwood Mac-focused \u201cSyd Norman\u2019s Presents: Rumours,\u201d Norwegian Luna will feature a third brand-new mainstage show, this one paying tribute to the Eagles.<\/p>\n<p>Separately, Syd Norman\u2019s will get an upgrade with new additions, including a throwback \u201890s set and Live Band Karaoke.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Adults Only<\/h2>\n<p>Making its debut on Norwegian Luna will be \u201cLunaTique,\u201d an exclusive production for guests 21 and older at The Improv at Sea. Inspired by \u201cthe thrill, sparkle, and nonstop energy\u201d of Las Vegas nightlife, this afterhours experience will feature classic circus archetypes \u2013 ringmaster, acrobats, clowns, and strongmen \u2013 reimagined as \u201cedgy, fashion-forward personas in a pop-infused show.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">An Under-the-Sea Kids Show<\/h2>\n<p>Another first for NCL will be \u201cSea of Discovery! An Under-the-Sea Festival,\u201d developed specifically for children. Inspired by the nostalgia of field day activities, the production follows an inquisitive fish on an interactive adventure through the ocean and features glow games, whimsical costumes, and more. <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reimagined Signature Events<\/h2>\n<p>As on Aqua, Viva, and Prima, the Luna Theater &amp; Club will transform from a three-story theater to a three-story Vegas-style nightclub featuring the new Norwegian Luna Eclipse Party, which will be a festival-inspired glow party. Also new will be the Planetdisco dance party, featuring classic disco and a lively ensemble of performers. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On the outdoor deck, Norwegian Luna will debut two new party concepts: Island Nights and Latin LIVE!<\/p>\n<p>Norwegian Luna is scheduled for delivery in March 2026, with regular seven-day sailings to the Caribbean starting up in April.
