The former screenwriter and co-executive producer of <em>Stargate: Atlantis<\/em> is the creator and executive producer for the new series, which will stream exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;Twenty years ago, my first real job in television was as a Story Editor on <em>Stargate: Atlantis<\/em>. Fans have praised the franchise for its blend of adventurous exploration, mythology, and grounded scientific concepts that have made <em>Stargate<\/em> one of the most enduring brands in genre entertainment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Gero will also serve as the new series&#8217; showrunner, alongside executive producers Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell for Safehouse Pictures (<em>Obi-Wan Kenobi<\/em>, <em>Monarch: Legacy of Monsters<\/em>); Dean Devlin (<em>Stargate<\/em>, <em>Independence Day<\/em>); and Roland Emmerich (<em>Stargate<\/em>, <em>Moonfall<\/em>).
