Danny L Harle<\/a> has shared the details of Cerulean<\/em><\/a>, his first major release since 2021\u2019s Harlecore<\/em><\/a>. The new album is out February 13, via XL<\/a>, and includes collaborations with Caroline Polachek<\/a>, PinkPantheress<\/a>, Clairo<\/a>, and others. Below, listen to Harle\u2019s new single with Oklou<\/a> and MNEK<\/a>, \u201cCrystallise My Tears<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a press release, Harle said that he is considering Cerulean<\/em> his debut studio album. \u201cIt really is the big one,\u201d he declared. For the new album, the British producer was influenced by Andrei Tarkovsky\u2019s Stalker<\/em>, Philip Glass<\/a>\u2019 Einstein on the Beach<\/em><\/a>, the Dark Souls<\/em> video game series, and more.<\/p>\n

\u201cCrystallise My Tears\u201d is the third preview of Cerulean<\/em>, following \u201cStarlight<\/a>\u201d and \u201cAzimuth<\/a>.\u201d Regarding the new single, Harle said, \u201cI already knew Oklou from our frequent collaboration. I simply sent the song over to her; she nailed the vocal and sent it back. We didn\u2019t have to share many words as we love very similar things about music. She has a particular ability to convey emotion through tone, and I really feel it in this one, there is a surreal alien beauty to her delivery.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cI knew Uzo (MNEK) as well; I am honoured to have the king of UK house grace the most house-adjacent track on my album with such a soaring and emotional vocal.\u201d<\/p>\n
