As the mother to two young children, Duchess Meghan hopes that her kids understand the importance of messing up.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a mom with kids at that age where they are constantly learning something new,\u201d she tells Harper\u2019s Bazaar <\/em>for our Winter 2025 cover story<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The duchess shares son Prince Archie, 6, and daughter Princess Lilibet, 4, with her husband, Prince Harry (whom she affectionately calls \u201cH\u201d). \u201cI watch them face things that feel completely insurmountable every day. But you can remember and say, \u2018I know it seems really hard right now, but trust me, that\u2019s going to come so easily soon,\u2019\u201d Meghan says.<\/p>\n

Over the years, Meghan has worn many different hats, from TV star to public royal figure. Now, she\u2019s navigating the early days of her own lifestyle brand, As Ever<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can give myself the same grace as a founder,\u201d she notes. \u201cThere\u2019s no such thing as perfect. I, too, get to make mistakes… There\u2019s also not a lot of fun in trying to be perfect. So why try to do that if you want to have fun?\u201d<\/p>\n

As for how she maintains the balance between work and home, Meghan adds: \u201cMy office is right by the kitchen, and I love that I can work from home. It\u2019s a great luxury.\u201d<\/p>\n

What does she hope her kids take away from seeing her navigate the work-life balance? \u201cI hope they see the value of being brave. They saw it when the jam was just a pot on the stove, bubbling. When you\u2019re young, I think you are a little bit more fearless. As we get older, we lose some of that.\u201d
