\u201c<\/span>The Simpsons<\/span><\/a>\u201d confirmed <\/span>on Tuesday that a character who\u2019s been featured on the show for 34 years is officially dead. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Alice Glick, Springfield\u2019s favorite organist, has finally kicked the bucket.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cIn a sense, Alice the organist will live forever, through the beautiful music she made,\u201d co-executive producer Tim Long told celebrity.land in a statement. \u201cBut in another, more important sense, yep she\u2019s dead as a doornail.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cThe Simpsons\u201d did not immediately respond to celebrity.land\u2019s important question about what song Alice might be playing in the afterlife right now.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n This is not the first time Alice has been killed off. She originally died in Season 22 after she was attacked by a rogue robot seal. But she made appearances in several episodes after that \u2014 sometimes alive and sometimes as a ghost.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Alice\u2019s memorial service was at the center of the Season 37 episode \u201cSashes to Sashes,\u201d where it was revealed that she had left her entire estate to the school\u2019s new music program. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Not a ton was known about Alice, who was initially voiced by the late Cloris Leachman before Tress MacNeille took over.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n But Alice\u2019s introduction in the Season 2 episode, \u201cThree Men and a Comic Book,\u201d which premiered in 1991, <\/span>gives us a fair amount of intel<\/span><\/a> about the elusive local musician. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n She had an aggressive cat, loved iodine, and her brother died in the \u201cGreat War\u201d after holding a grenade a little too long. She also paid Bart a measly 50 cents to do a bunch of terrible house work for her.
