New bodycam footage shows Real Housewives of Potomac<\/i> alum Mia Thornton<\/strong> weeping while being arrested for theft.<\/span><\/p>\n

Us Weekly <\/i>previously <\/i>confirmed<\/a> that Mia, 40, was detained in Atlanta on Wednesday, November 19, for allegedly stealing furniture worth more than $11,000 from a condo she\u2019d been renting.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOfficers assigned to Hartsfield\u2013Jackson Atlanta International Airport responded to a wanted person call at the Customs and Border Protection office,\u201d read a statement by the Atlanta Police Department. \u201cOfficers identified the individual as Ms. Mia Fields-Thornton, who had an active City of Atlanta warrant related to a larceny involving an alleged furniture theft.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

In footage released by police<\/a>, Mia quietly wept as an officer handcuffed her and escorted her through the airport and into a jail cell.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tBeing a Real Housewife can be messy, including on camera screaming matches, legal woes and event arrests. However, there are only a few franchise stars who have actually gone to jail for their scandals. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah began a six and a half-year prison sentence in February 2023 [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The police stated that she was \u201ctaken into custody without incident\u201d and transported to the Fulton County Jail for processing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mia has yet to publicly address her arrest. Us<\/i> has reached out for comment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Police records obtained by Us<\/i> on Wednesday allege that Mia stole furniture including TVs, radios and DVD players.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to a larceny incident report, Andrea Sands<\/strong>, an employee at Encore Management, reported the alleged theft earlier this month on behalf of a client who lives in China and \u201cowns one of the condo suites on their property.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tOver the years, the Real Housewives of Potomac series has parted ways with several cast members. Viewers said goodbye to Monique Samuels after her altercation with Candiace Dillard-Bassett during season 5 made her reconsider her time on the show. After joining the series in 2017, Monique and Candiace initially formed a close friendship. Things took [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Sands told police that she \u201crented out the owned condo\u201d to two people: Mia and Jared McGriff<\/strong>. She claimed that \u201cwithout notifying anyone, [they] suddenly moved out of the unit in the middle of the night\u201d on October 28 and \u201ctook all of the furniture,\u201d which had been in the unit prior to their moving in. She also claimed the tenants took a flat-screen TV.<\/span><\/p>\n

Us<\/i> reached out to Sands and McGriff for comment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In the bodycam footage, Mia can be heard mentioning that McGriff has a storage key.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI just want him to put that furniture back, enough is enough,\u201d she appeared to say, adding that she sent several emails to her \u201croommate\u201d to put it back. <\/span>\u201cIt\u2019s ridiculous,\u201d she added.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
