Cynthia Erivo trusted her instincts and leapt into action to defend her co-star Ariana Grande last week \u2014 and now she\u2019s opening up about the experience.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Last Thursday, during the \u201cWicked: For Good\u201d premiere in Singapore<\/a>, a man vaulted over a barrier to accost Grande. A video of the incident showed Erivo immediately turning toward the singer to shield her as he rushed at them.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cWe have come through some shit,\u201d Erivo said<\/a> during a Saturday screening of the film in Los Angeles.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cWe have come through some stuff in our lives, in our daily workings\u2026 <\/span>I mean, fuck, even this last week,\u201d she continued, in apparent reference to Thursday\u2019s incident. \u201cLet\u2019s be honest, for fuck\u2019s sake; we\u2019ve had to really deal with some stuff.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n As an emotional Grande sat beside her onstage at the Los Angeles screening, Erivo described the camaraderie she and her co-star have developed. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cThis movie has allowed us to really grow as people, as friends, as sisters, as artists, as actresses,\u201d Erivo explained.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cDid you get your views? Did you get your likes?\u201d Bode asked the fan, who has an apparent history of disrupting public events. \u201cGuess what you also did?
